About Me.

ORIGINALLY FROM DALLAS, TX.

CURRENTLY IN EVANSTON, IL.

Hi! I'm Meghna. I'm a junior at Northwestern University, where I study math and cognitive science, with a certificate in design. While I spend most of my time in STEM-heavy fields, I am happiest when creative.

To me, design is the intersection between creativity and functionality. It is a different way of thinking, pushing me to combine the world of data, research, and psychology with my passion for visual art. I strive to create designs that consider the needs of the user and believe the research insights uncovered in any project are as important as the final design.

Currently, I serve as the co-studio lead of Northwestern’s Design for America chapter, where I mentor other students in creating local, social impact through human-centered design. I previously worked with IBM as a design research intern on the Global Sales Enablement Team, where I created a platform that helps sales managers best do their jobs. With each new project I embark upon, I hope to continue expanding my design toolkit and tell meaningful stories along the way.

When I’m not in class or working on a design project, you can find me painting, designing spreads for Spoon Magazine, or dancing on the Raas/Garba team. I also love to bake and do yoga!

As the world remains unpredictable and life continues to change around me, design and other creative practices keep me grounded. Please feel free to contact me if you’d like to chat!
